Senior Lecturer in Animation

 

Dotty is a freelance director, story writer and voiceover artist, specialising in idea generation, narratives and sound for animation. With a degree in Acting, she has a strong background in theatre and an in-depth understanding of character performance.

 

Dotty’s work has been shown internationally at festivals and conferences, and her shorts are distributed in Europe by Little KMBO. In recent years she has been working on a variety of projects, ranging from narrative poetry and song lyrics for animation, through short films and music videos, to book illustrations and animated theatre projections.

 

Alongside her freelance practice, Dotty taught at Leeds Arts University as Senior Lecturer for BA (Hons) Animation and Supervisor for MA Illustration. In 2022, she returned to her alma mater – the Bristol School of Animation – to teach as Senior Lecturer.
