Amsterdam Screening for UWE Student Film ‘The Creators’

MA Animation student Madeleine Homan will be interviewed onstage after a screening of her latest short film at the Delamar theatre in Amsterdam on the 2nd of June. The evening will see a mix of artistic mediums on display, and brings together a host of artists who have benefitted from the Van den Ende scholarship, which helped Madeleine on her path to studying Animation in Bristol.

They will be screening Madeleine’s graduate film ‘The Creators’ , which follows a group of characters designing a world and everything in it. It encourages us to question why the world is ordered in the way that it is. ‘The creators are not as logical as you would hope,’ says Madeleine, ‘they’re clumsy and a lot of things go wrong.’ It is a 2D animation created using ToonBoom.

Madeleine also has a previous film, ‘Fur; which is now screening at festivals internationally, including New York International Children’s Film Festival, and CinAnima Portugal. Her design was also selected for the window frieze, which will be on display during the Animation final year degree show, which will be on from the 9-15th June at Bower Ashton Campus.
