UWE students’ university trip to Annecy Animation Festival

UWE students’ university trip to Annecy Animation Festival

This summer, UWE Animation students went on a trip to Annecy International Animation Festival.

The festival gave them a chance to meet their favourite animators, watch screenings of new work, meet fellow animators, and enjoy the picturesque town of Annecy, in France. As part of the festival, our students attended Aardman’s animation picnic and an LGBTQ+ Animation Social, as well as countless talks, workshops, and screenings.

‘WTF’ experimental shorts screening – one of the festival’s raucous late night screenings of bizarre animated films.

It was a fantastic festival, and the UWE Animation team can’t wait to head over to the festival with more students next year.
